How We Rate

Every ranking on NerdBible is built on a transparent, consistent methodology. We want you to understand exactly how we reach our scores — and to trust that they are never for sale.

Our scoring framework

Each product receives a score out of 10, built from four weighted pillars that we adapt slightly per category:

• Core performance — how well the product does its main job, measured through hands-on testing and independent lab or industry data.
• Features — the depth and usefulness of what is included.
• Ease of use — setup, day-to-day experience and support quality.
• Value — real pricing, including renewals and add-ons, against what you get.

How we test

Wherever possible we buy and use the products ourselves, on the same hardware and conditions, so comparisons are fair. For specialist or health categories we incorporate expert review and cite reputable sources.

Keeping things current

Prices, offers and product features change constantly. We re-check our comparisons regularly and display a "last updated" date on every page so you know how fresh the information is.

Independence
