🇮🇹 Italy Flag is an emoji in the Flags group, country flag subgroup, first released in Emoji 0.6 (2010). Emoji 0.6 is the label Unicode gives to characters that became emoji with Unicode 6.0 in 2010, before emoji had version numbers of their own.

Like every country flag emoji, it is two regional indicator symbols, I and T, which spell the region code IT. Systems without flag images, notably Windows, show the two letters instead of a flag.
