Fancy Text Generator
Bold, italic and script Unicode text for bios.
Free. Runs in your browser: nothing you enter or open is uploaded.
Accessibility: these styles are special Unicode symbols, not real formatting. Screen readers may read them letter by letter, as math symbols or not at all, and search engines may not match them. Use them for a short name or a heading in a bio, not for whole sentences or anything people must be able to read.
How to use it
- Type your text in the box.
- Every style is shown below as you type.
- Press Copy next to the one you like and paste it into your bio, post or name.
Questions
How does fancy text work without a font?
Unicode, the standard behind all text on computers, includes complete alphabets of bold, italic, script and other letters, mostly for mathematics. The tool swaps each normal letter for its look-alike, so it pastes anywhere that accepts text.
Why do some letters show as boxes?
The device reading the text has no font with that symbol. Recent phones and computers show nearly all of them, older ones may not, so check how it looks on another device.
Will it work on Instagram, TikTok or X?
Usually yes in bios, names and posts, because they are ordinary characters. Some sites filter unusual symbols in user names, and search inside those apps may not find the styled words.
Are these bad for accessibility?
They can be. A screen reader may announce each letter as a math symbol or skip it. Keep styled text short and never use it for information people need.
