For fun, notes, mock-ups and craft projects only. It sets your text in a handwriting-style font; it is not your handwriting. Do not use it to imitate someone's writing or signature, to fake a handwritten letter, note or form, or to pass anything off as written by hand when that matters, such as schoolwork that must be handwritten, official documents or signatures. The fonts are open source (SIL Open Font License) and served from this site; your text never leaves your browser.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text.
- Pick a handwriting style, the paper, the page size and the ink colour.
- Adjust the size and line spacing, and turn the natural wobble on or off. Shuffle gives a different wobble.
- Download the page you are looking at as a PNG, or every page as one PDF.
Questions
Is this my handwriting?
No. The text is set in one of four handwriting-style fonts. With the wobble on, each letter is nudged slightly in size, angle and position so it looks less mechanical, but it is still a font.
Can I use it for school work or official papers?
Not where handwriting is required. If a teacher, exam board, employer or official body asks for something written by hand, they mean written by you. Use this for notes, decorations, mock-ups, scrapbooks and other things where nobody is relying on it being handwritten.
What happens to long text?
Text wraps at the margins and continues onto as many pages as it needs. Use the arrows under the preview to look through them. The PDF contains every page; the PNG is the page you are viewing.
Which fonts are used?
Caveat, Indie Flower, Shadows Into Light and Patrick Hand, all released under the SIL Open Font License and loaded from this site only on this page. Each covers the Latin alphabet; characters a font lacks are drawn in a fallback font.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The page is drawn and saved in your browser. Your text is not sent to NerdBible or anyone else.

Type or paste some text and see it set on a sheet of paper in a handwriting-style font. It is useful for notes, scrapbooks, mock-ups, invitations, craft projects and anywhere a typed page looks too formal.
What you can change
- Handwriting: four open source fonts, Caveat, Indie Flower, Shadows Into Light and Patrick Hand.
- Paper: lined with an optional margin, squared, or plain, in A4 or US Letter.
- Ink: blue, black, red, green, pencil grey or any colour you choose.
- Size and spacing: how large the writing is and how far apart the lines are.
- Natural wobble: small random changes in each letter's size, angle and position, so the page looks less mechanical. Shuffle for a different wobble.
Long text flows onto as many pages as it needs. Save the page you are viewing as a PNG, or every page as one PDF.
Use it honestly
This is a font, not your handwriting. Do not use it to imitate a signature or someone's writing, or for schoolwork, letters or documents that must be written by hand. Everything happens in your browser and your text is never uploaded.
