When to use it
𝒩 writes U+1D4A9 (Mathematical Script Capital N), a capital letter from the Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, encoded since Unicode 3.1. These letters are distinct symbols in mathematics. Using them to style ordinary text breaks search, copy and screen readers.
The name comes from the HTML5 list (much of it shared with MathML), so it works in every current browser but not in XML or XHTML served as XML, where the numeric reference is the safe choice.
