CSV Viewer
Open a CSV as a sortable table.
Free. Runs in your browser: nothing you enter or open is uploaded.
Or paste data
The file is read and parsed in your browser, so private exports stay on your device. Quoted fields, line breaks inside quotes, and comma, semicolon, tab or pipe delimiters are all handled. Only the rows on screen are drawn, so files with hundreds of thousands of rows scroll smoothly; the limit is your device's memory.
How to use it
- Open or drop a CSV or TSV file, or paste the data. The delimiter and header row are detected for you.
- Click a column heading to sort by it, click again to reverse, and type in Filter to find rows.
- Read the stats for each column, then download or copy just the rows that match.
Questions
Why does my file show one column only?
The delimiter was not detected. Pick it by hand: European spreadsheets often save with semicolons because the comma is their decimal mark.
Why do accented letters look wrong?
The file is probably not UTF-8. Older Excel versions save CSV in the Windows code page. Saving again as CSV UTF-8 from Excel fixes it.
How are numbers sorted?
If every filled cell in a column is a number, the column sorts by value, so 10 comes after 9. Otherwise it sorts as text, in natural order.
Is my file uploaded?
No. It is read by your browser from your disk, and the page sends nothing. That is why it suits customer lists, bank exports and other private data.
