Your alarms
No alarms yet. Pick a time and press Add alarm.
This alarm works only while this tab stays open and the device stays awake: a closed tab, a sleeping laptop or a locked phone that suspends the browser cannot ring. Browsers slow down background tabs, so the alarm checks the real clock each time it wakes and may ring a few seconds late in a background tab. Turn the volume up and press Test sound first. The sounds are generated in your browser; nothing is downloaded or sent, and your alarms are saved only in this browser.
How to use it
- Pick a time, add a label if you like and choose a sound.
- Press Test sound to check the volume, then press Add alarm.
- Leave this tab open. When the alarm rings, press Snooze for 5 or 10 more minutes, or Stop.
Questions
Will the alarm ring if I close the tab?
No. The alarm runs inside this page, so the tab has to stay open. It can be in the background, but the computer or phone must stay awake.
Why did my alarm ring late?
Browsers save power by slowing down timers in background tabs, and a sleeping device pauses them entirely. The alarm compares against the real clock each time it wakes, so it rings as soon as the browser lets it and tells you if it was late.
Why is there no sound?
Browsers block sound until you have clicked or tapped on a page. Press Test sound once after opening the page, and check the device volume and that the tab is not muted.
What does the notification option do?
It asks your browser for permission to show a system notification when the alarm rings, which helps if the tab is hidden. The permission is only requested when you tick the box.
Are my alarms saved?
Yes, in this browser's own storage on this device, so they are still there when you reopen the page. They are never sent to us.
About this tool
About the online alarm clock
This alarm clock runs in a browser tab, which is handy when your phone is in another room or you want a reminder while working at a computer. The current time is shown in large digits, in 12 or 24 hour format.
Set as many alarms as you need, each with its own time, label and sound. An alarm can ring once or every day. When it goes off, the page shows a large banner and the tab title flashes, and you can snooze for five or ten minutes or stop it.
- Four sounds: a classic beep, a digital two-tone, a gentle chime and a rising tone, all generated in your browser.
- Gets louder: the alarm starts at half volume and rises to your chosen level.
- Optional notification: tick the box and your browser asks once for permission to show a system notification when an alarm rings.
- Remembered: alarms are saved in this browser only, so they are still there when you return.
Because it lives in a web page, the tab must stay open and the device awake. The alarm checks the real clock every time the browser lets it run, so a background tab may ring a few seconds late.
