9:00 to 17:00 7:00 to 9:00 and 17:00 to 21:00 night. Click an hour to use it.
Offsets and daylight saving dates come from your browser's own time zone database, so they follow the official rules for the date you pick. Your list of time zones is remembered in this browser only.
How to use it
- Choose the time zone the time is in, then the date and time, or leave Use the current time ticked for a live clock.
- Add the cities or time zones you need. Each row shows the local time, the date and the offset from UTC.
- Use the meeting planner to find hours that fall within the working day everywhere, and click an hour to convert it.
Questions
Does the converter handle daylight saving time?
Yes. It works out each zone's offset for the exact date and time you choose, so a meeting in late March or late October shows the right times even when the clocks change on different dates in Europe and North America.
Why are some offsets 30 or 45 minutes?
Some places, such as India (UTC+5:30), Newfoundland (UTC−3:30) and Nepal (UTC+5:45), set their clocks to a half or quarter hour. The converter shows these exactly.
What happens to a time that does not exist?
When clocks go forward an hour is skipped, so a time such as 2:30 on that night does not exist. The converter moves it forward by the size of the jump and says so.
Why use city names rather than abbreviations like EST?
Abbreviations are ambiguous (CST is used in the US, China and Cuba) and do not say whether daylight saving applies. A zone named after a city, such as America/Chicago, always gives the right local time.
