Date Calculator: Age, Days Between & Business Days
Exact age, days between two dates, working days, and adding or subtracting days.
Free. Runs in your browser: nothing you enter or open is uploaded.
Business days skip the days off and holidays set on the Business days tab.
Dates are counted as whole calendar days, so daylight saving changes do not shift the results. When adding months lands on a day the month does not have, such as 31 February, the result is the last day of that month.
How to use it
- Choose a tab: Age, Days between, Business days, or Add or subtract.
- Enter the dates. For business days, tick the days you do not work and type any public holidays to skip.
- Read the result straight away; press Copy next to any figure you want to keep.
Questions
How is exact age worked out?
Whole years first, then whole months, then the days left over, the same way people count birthdays. Someone born on 15 May 1990 is 36 years, 4 months and 19 days old on 4 October 2026.
Should I include the end date?
Include it when both days count, such as the length of a holiday from Monday to Friday (5 days). Leave it out for the time between two dates, such as nights in a hotel (4 nights).
Does the business day count include public holidays?
Only the ones you type in. Holidays differ by country, region and company, so the tool does not guess; add each date on its own line.
How are birthdays on 29 February handled?
In years without 29 February, the next birthday is shown as 28 February. Some countries treat 1 March as the legal birthday instead.
