Yes or No Wheel
The wheel starts with two equal halves, Yes and No. Press Spin, or tap the wheel, and it stops on a fair random answer.
Free tools that run in your browser. Nothing you type, open or create is uploaded to NerdBible or anyone else.
Winners so far
The winner is picked with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the wheel starts turning; the animation then stops on that slice, so every item has exactly the same chance. The share link keeps your list after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server.
How to use it
- Type or paste your items, one per line. Names, choices, tasks or prizes all work. For a quick decision press the Yes / No preset; press it again to get your own list back.
- Press Spin, or press the space bar, and wait for the wheel to stop. The winner is announced under the wheel.
- Tick Remove the winner to draw without repeats, and use Copy share link to send the same list to someone else.
Questions
Is the yes or no wheel 50/50?
Yes. Both answers take exactly half the wheel and the stopping point is picked with cryptographic randomness, so each is equally likely.
Can I add Maybe?
Yes. Add Maybe on a new line in the list and the wheel splits into three equal parts.
Can I share the wheel?
Copy share link puts your list into a link. Whoever opens it gets the same wheel, but spins it for their own result.
About this tool
A coin flip you can watch
The yes or no wheel gives each answer exactly half of the circle and picks where it stops with your browser's cryptographic random number generator. The spin is for show: the result is chosen fairly before the wheel starts turning.
- Add a third option. Type Maybe, or Ask again, on a new line in the list and the wheel splits into three equal parts.
- Best of three. The last results are listed on the page, so you can spin a few times and go with the majority.
- Keyboard and screen readers. Press the space bar to spin; the answer is announced when the wheel stops, and the animation is shortened if your device asks for reduced motion.
When to use it
Small decisions that keep going round in circles: takeaway or cook, one more episode or bed, go out or stay in. It is a way to break a tie, not advice; for anything that matters, use the wheel to start a conversation rather than to end one.
For a list of names or many choices, open the full spinner wheel.
